Jordan practises internationally both as a specialist sole-practitioner and in conjunction with other lawyers. Previously, Jordan spent six years at another specialist international chambers. Before that, he 'cut his teeth' prosecuting and defending in the criminal courts of London, dealing with extradition cases, and as an advocate in prison law matters. He has also taken part in numerous domestic and international investigations into bribery, fraud and corruption, and he has been instructed by, amongst others, the Serious Fraud Office, HM Foreign and Commonwealth Office and the Ministry of Defence.

Jordan is a barrister of England and Wales and was Called to the Bar by Lincoln's Inn in 2008. He is Direct Access Accredited and Qualified to Conduct Litigation.

He was educated at:

Fees, availability and timescales

All professional and lay clients are very welcome to contact Jordan for a quotation for legal services and work is undertaken on hourly rates or for a fixed fee.

Timescales for undertaking work may be affected by a number of factors, including, but not limited to:

  • the availability of the lawyer;

  • the availability of the client or relevant third parties;

  • the complexity of the case;

  • the amount of papers that need to be reviewed;

  • the need for additional information or documents;

  • the approach taken by the other side;

  • third parties intervening in the case; and

  • Court waiting times.

The fees applicable depend on the nature of the case, the work involved and the basis on which the work is carried out. Time estimates and agreed schedules of work can be discussed so that costs can be managed. Work is generally billed monthly and invoices are payable on receipt.

Pleadings in International Administrative Law are bound by tight and strict deadlines and often need to be filed within 90 days of exhaustion of any internal appeals process (timescales for which may be as little as 14 days). Achieving a final decision can take some years and this does not include possible appeals, which may take longer.

You must also complaint to the Legal Ombudsman within six months of receiving your barrister's final response to your complaint.
